A young woman leader from Munda, Western province has acknowledged the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) and Solomon Islands Plan Parenthood Association (SIPPA) for the successful facilitation of the Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) training.
The training was attended by participants from 3 provinces including Honiara: Malaita, Western and Guadalcanal.
The Munda youth group leader, Juanita Boso told Solomon Women Newspaper that she is very grateful to participate in the workshop and more especially to gain more knowledge and understanding on the topics covered under the sexual reproductive health.
“I see this training as very important tool to improve my knowledge and understanding on sexual reproductive health and other topics covered in the training workshop.
“Am one of the youth leaders in my community of Keke, village in Munda and I’m so happy to be part of this program. The idea to participate in the workshop is to ensure vital knowledge gained from the training can be passed to our youth group members based in the province.
“In our community, our young women have experience many social issues that needs to be addressed, such as teenage pregnancy and many other problems that youths in our country face today. As a young leader, I wish to take a positive step forward in helping the young people in our community,” Ms Boso said.
