Patricia Leong’s Boss Baddie is a girlie lifestyle shop that empowers women to grow mentally, physically and spiritually. The brand is owned by 28-year-old Patricia Leong, who is of Kiribati and Chinese heritage, and she also works in the corporate sector at Pacific Crown Hotel in Kukum, Honiara.

Patricia describes Boss Baddie as a woman who works with confidence, embraces who she is, and is intentional about personal growth. She said, “I strive to embody that by continuously working on my mindset, physical well-being, and spiritual journey, becoming the woman God has called me to be.”

She identified self-discipline, consistency and a growth mindset as key ingredients for women who want to level up, noting many wait until they feel ready, but confidence comes from showing up even when it is difficult.

She said, “I believe self-discipline, consistency, and growth mindset are essential because I have noticed a lot of people wait until they feel ready but forget that confidence comes from showing up even when you do not feel like it.” Habits that are essential for leveling up include setting goals, taking care of yourself and investing in yourself.

Patricia balances dreaming big with practical steps by combining vision with planning. She said, “Dream is important because it gives you direction but planning is what turns dreams into reality.”

She also stresses action and manifestation, explaining one reason behind Boss Baddie is to encourage women to dream it, plan it, manifest it and become her.

A major lesson in her journey was learning that busyness does not equal progress. She said staying organized taught her to prioritize what matters and remain focused on her goals. “Success is built one step, one task and one day at a time.”

When facing hard times, Patricia says she keeps focus by trusting God and holding onto discipline and purpose. She said staying that girl means remaining committed to her goals even during difficult seasons. “Tough times do not define you, how you respond to them does.”

Leong defines success as personal growth and positive impact, not only financial gain. She said, “Success to me is becoming the woman God created me to be while inspiring and empowering others to do the same.”

For Boss Baddie, empowerment is central. The brand exists to remind women that they already have potential within them. “Our goal is to provide tools, resources and experiences that help women build confidence, stay organized, develop discipline and pursue their dreams with purpose,” she said.

Her advice to young women starting a business is simple. “Start before you feel ready,” Patricia urges. “Believe in your vision, stay consistent, be willing to learn and do not compare your beginning to someone else middle. Keep showing up and trust the process.”

She hopes more women will step into their purpose with confidence courage and discipline every single day building futures.
