Before the start of Game 2 of the Warriors Clash, teams in a combined effort, used the occasion as an opportunity to pay tribute to Late Angel Mary who was early this month, allegedly raped and murdered by a group of heartless cowards, on Kolombangara Island in Western Province.
Organisers used the Clash Challenge as another platform to raise awareness against Domestic Violence and pay tribute to all victims of Domestic Violence throughout the country.
Before taking the field, women’s teams of both Eastern Highlanders of East Bellona and Honiara based Malaita Crusaders Rugby Club lined up and held letters that showed support to the hashtag movement, calling for justice for little Mary.
