Solomon Islands was among thousands of delegates from around the world who attended the International Pastors and Partners Conference (IPPC) 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Representing her country, Pastor Lilly Tafoa of the Healing Stream Program was chosen from a small cell group and appointed Coordinator for Oceania and the Pacific, including Solomon Islands, PNG, and Vanuatu.

Speaking to the SOLOMON WOMEN, Pastor Lilly said the appointment felt like both a big task and a major challenge. “It was my first time to go to Lagos,” she said. “I was appointed in early September last year from a small cell group to coordinate Oceania and the Pacific. The task was not small, but it pushed me to learn to operate at an international level.”

Pastor Lilly explained she was invited to Lagos to receive awards, and she returned home with three. They recognized her work in translating languages, translating magazines, and leading Master Class programs in the Solomon Islands. She said the recognition was one of her greatest achievements because it came on an international stage.

Before this appointment, she first helped coordinate a small women’s group called Ladies Ignite, which focused on prayer meetings and conferences. A month later, in October 2024, she became the official Coordinator for the Healing Stream Live Healing Service program for the Solomon Islands and the wider Pacific region. “We concentrated on the Healing Stream, a live healing service that comes on TV,” she said.

She said the program comes only in March, July and October each year. “The program started in October 2024, then March 2025, July 2025, and October 2025. It was not easy, especially with visuals, translating into different dialects, and translating the Healing Stream Magazine,” she said.

Pastor Lilly said her two weeks in Lagos gave her a great chance to learn more about the systems behind the programs. She said the experience showed her that everything citizens do reflects their nation. “Everything we do as citizens of Solomon reflects the sovereignty of our country,” she said.

She also shared that many people in the Solomon Islands are used to visiting preachers, but she believes it is important for locals to grow in new learning environments. “It helps you grow personally and become spiritually mature,” she said.

The International Pastors and Partners Conference is an annual global gathering organised by LoveWorld Incorporated under the leadership of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. It brings together pastors, ministry leaders, church partners and delegations from around the world. For Pastor Lilly, the 2025 conference was more than an event—it was a life–changing encounter that strengthened her purpose and her commitment to serving her nation.

As she returned home, Pastor Lilly said she felt renewed hope for the future of ministry work in the Solomon Islands. She believes the lessons she gained in Lagos will help her train others, build stronger programs, and inspire more women to take bold steps in leadership and service in their communities.
