A two-day Child Protection Policy and Safeguard workshop to educate people living with disability to understand the relevance of the Child Protection Policy and the reasons as to why we need this policy will end today in Honiara.
The workshop was held yesterday at Heritage Park Hotel with the support from Australia Volunteer (AVI) in partnership with the People Living with Disability Solomon Islands (PWDSI) and was facilitated by a local freelance consultant, Anika Kingmele.
Participants drawn from the PWDSI were taken through the background of the policy formulation and relevance of the policy in protecting children’s rights.
