THE Mothers Union of the Anglican Church of Melanesia extended a cordial welcome to Mrs. Sheran Harper, President of the World-Wide Mothers Union, and Mrs. Jeanette Lawrence, Regional Development Coordinator, on Wednesday.
World-Wide Mothers Union President Mrs. Sheran Harper expressed her gratitude for the official welcome ceremony held at the Melanesian Haus, saying that they were truly pleased to be welcomed as sisters.
“We both feel much honored that you welcomed us like sisters of yours. We thank you so much for coming out, and we pray that God will continue to bless our time together in the coming days, that we will listen while he guides, directs, and instructs us, and that at the end of it, all we say and do will glorify his most holy name. Thank you so much, brothers, sisters, and children. God bless you all,” Mrs. Sheran Harper acknowledged.
The president of the World-Wide Mothers Union stated that despite their extensive travels, they have always picked Melanesia since it has always felt like home.
“We are so happy to be here with you. We chose Melanesia because this feels like home to us; we have been here so many times, and you are our family,” she said.
As she is ready to leave office, Mrs. Sheran is paying a farewell tour to the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM), the Mothers Union of Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia as the president of the World-Wide Mothers Union.
The goodbye visit, which celebrates the global unity and shared purpose of empowering women and supporting families, is a momentous occasion for the Mothers Union in the ACOM.
