MISS Tulagi, Jayn Zayniellar Soakai, has vowed to continue her advocacy work and support for vulnerable communities, even after her journey in the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant 2024 concluded as the third runner-up.
Jayn, the youngest contestant, won Best Float and Miss Photogenic awards at the Pacific Crown Hotel on Saturday night, showcasing her talent and confidence on stage in the competition.
In an emotional message shared with her supporters, Soakai expressed her unwavering commitment to her causes.
“Our journey doesn’t end here! Whether as Miss Tulagi or as Zayniellar Soakai, I’m not stopping. I’m committed to continuing my advocacy and supporting our vulnerable communities,” she said.
Soakai also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newly crowned Miss Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai, referring to her as a “beautiful sister” and expressing gratitude for the lessons learned during their time together.
“I’m truly blessed to have crossed paths with you and learned so much from you,” Soakai shared.
“You’ve taught me lessons that I will always cherish, and I wish you nothing but the best as you prepare for the upcoming Miss Pacific Islands pageant. Know that we are all behind you, every step of the way.”
Reflecting on her journey with her fellow contestants, Soakai expressed pride in the camaraderie and support they shared.
“I’m incredibly proud of you all. I’m so grateful to have shared this journey with such amazing women. Thank you for your support and for pushing me to be my best. I’m honored to call you my sisters,” she said.
Acknowledging the overwhelming support she received, Soakai expressed her gratitude to her supporters and sponsors.
“It’s been a hectic time, and I haven’t had the chance to reply to messages here and on my personal account, but I want to express my deepest gratitude for all your kind words and unwavering support throughout this journey. Your encouragement has inspired me to keep pushing forward.”
“As the youngest contestant in this year’s pageant, Soakai noted that the experience helped her step out of her comfort zone and build her confidence.
“My goal has always been to make sure my voice is heard, and I’m working on that every day. I will not stop,” she stated.
