THE Mere Care Mentor Her initiative, in partnership with B Natural Café, is hosting a Mini Trade Show this weekend to support local women entrepreneurs.
The first Mini Trade Show will take place this Saturday, March 1st, at the B Natural Café located on the second floor of the Anthony Saru building in Central Honiara from 8 AM to 7 PM. Local women and girls in Honiara, both formal and informal businesses, are encouraged to participate.
The event will provide a space for women to sell, learn, and grow through mentorship in sales and marketing.
Dr. Donna Marie Wate, mentor of the Mere Care Company Limited’s small business arm, shared that the event was inspired by the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Solomon Islands (AWE) 2024 Cohort Mini Trade Show.
“This is open to any local women and girls aspiring to be entrepreneurs in Honiara,” said Dr. Donna.

The event, masterminded by Lyndah Wate Seni, the managing director of B Natural Café, aims to offer a market space for both formal and informal businesses.
“The fee is $50 per table space, which also includes access to online WhatsApp for business mentorship and community tips,” Dr. Donna explained.
The initiative, planned to be held monthly, may become a bi-weekly event depending on demand. Dr. Donna stressed her dedication to supporting local entrepreneurs through her work with the AWE program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the White House-led Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative.
