

LOCAL women entrepreneurs gathered at B Natural Cafe for the first-ever Queens Sisterhood Market Day in Honiara, showcasing a variety of products ranging from ice-dyed lava lavas to body oils and local crafts.
The event held on Saturday, 1st March was organized by Mere Care Company Limited in partnership with B Natural Cafe, was hailed as a great success by both vendors and visitors.
Dr. Donna Marie Wate, mentor of Mere Care Company Limited, expressed her enthusiasm for the event’s success.
“It was a great turnout for a first of many more planned events. We hope to establish important partnerships to further support these women entrepreneurs to up-level their business capacity and marketing opportunities,” she told SOLOMON WOMEN.
The market day was not only a place to sell products but also a space for mentorship and community building.
“These women were encouraged and mentored in selling and marketing for their small businesses, both before and during the market day,” Dr. Donna explained.


Products on display included hand-crafted items such as hair scrunchies, cakes, and body oils, each reflecting the unique creativity of the local women. Dr. Donna thanked the vendors and supporters for their commitment.
“We will support them all the way to achieving their big dreams,” she added.
The Queens Sisterhood Market Day is set to become a regular event aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs and helping them grow their businesses while building meaningful connections within the community.
