SOLOMON Islands weightlifting Queen and gold medallist describes the Team Solomon overall performance at the 2022 Mini Pacific Games in the Northern Marianas as outstanding.
Jenly has bagged the 3 gold medals from the 55kg snatch, 55kg clean and jerk and the 55kg overall.
Whilst, Team Solomon Islands now sits at 9th place with a total of 25 medals – 4 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and 5 Bronze Medals in the overall medal tally at the Pacific Mini-Games.
Wini told Solomon Women that Solomon Islands sets the first-ever highest recorded medals at this year’s Mini Pacific Games.
“I am very happy and proud of Team Solomon overall performances to win 20 medals at the Games.
“As for me, I am also pleased and honoured to win three gold medals for my country,” she said.
She acknowledged the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) and the Solomon Islands Weightlifting Federation, more especially her coach, Paul Coffa and wife for their support towards her three months of intensive training.
