GUADALCANAL Province celebrated on Monday their 38th Second Appointed Day Anniversary Celebration on 1st August 2022 at St Joseph’s Tenaru Catholic School
On the occasion, the President of Guadalcanal Provincial Council of Women (GPCW) Alice Hou has expressed her gratitude to every women, girls and political leaders, who in these 38 years has served the homeland of Guadalcanal.
Furthermore she thanked the national government for its efforts on changes and improvements to Guadalcanal province despite the Covid-19 situation and challenges met during the years until now.
She also praised and expressed her recognised to the efforts of women and girls in the rural communities on Guadalcanal especially for their special efforts in the communities.
“On behalf of the Guadalcanal Provincial Council of Women, I would like to acknowledge women and girls in the communities for their efforts to give hope and care to their families and communities especially during the Covid-19 pandemic though there were challenges we managed to end this Covid-19 pandemic transmission together.
“I would also like to thank the ward counsel leaders and volunteers who have been helping out despite the Covid-19 challenges who managed to go on with the banner of the GPCW to serve the communities.
“And with the expression of highest respect, I would like to take this time to congratulate the Honourable Premier Frances Sade and his Executive and Member of the Provincial Assembly on the occasion of the 38th Anniversary of Guadalcanal Second Appointed Day.”
