The Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) has successfully completed an International Labour Organization (ILO) Financial Education Training aimed at strengthening financial literacy and business capacity among women entrepreneurs across the Solomon Islands.
The training forms part of SIWIBA’s ongoing commitment to supporting women in business by equipping them with practical financial knowledge and skills to help strengthen and grow their enterprises.
SIWIBA acknowledged the trainers and participants whose contributions helped make the training a meaningful and successful learning experience.
SIWIBA Vice president Donna Marie Wate said the ILO Financial Education Training is very important for everyone but especially for women and women entrepreneurs’ members and members of SIWIBA.
She said that SIWIBA is aware of the current training of trainer’s program which is currently rolled out and benefited a lot of our people since it started.
Donna said there are many positive feedbacks from those who attended.
“There are many positive feedbacks from those who attended so we hope those local trainers involved will get certified soon to include more people especially women entrepreneurs in the Solomon Islands,” she said.
Among the local trainers who coordinated and delivered the program was SIWIBA member and former Chief Executive Officer, Rachel Rahii. Her leadership, experience and expertise contributed significantly to the successful delivery of the training.
SIWIBA said the completion of the training reflects its continued efforts to build the capacity of women entrepreneurs and promote stronger, more sustainable businesses across the Solomon Islands.
