MISS Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai, made a special visit to the Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands (KOSI) production site at Lunga yesterday, where she met with KOSI General Manager, Steward Mane, to discuss potential collaborations and ways to support local businesses.
The visit comes as Miss Polosovai prepares for the upcoming Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.
Speaking about the visit, Mr. Mane stressed the importance of partnering with Miss Solomon Islands to raise awareness of KOSI’s products and their role in supporting the local economy.
“We want to collaborate with Miss Solomon Islands, especially as she works towards the Miss Pacific pageant. We hope she will use her platform to promote KOSI and its products, which support local communities,” he said.
During the visit, Miss Polosovai expressed how meaningful the experience was, particularly her chance to connect with local businesses and learn about KOSI’s efforts in the Solomon Islands.
“It was a very meaningful experience to come and connect with local businesses. I learned a lot about what they are doing to support the economy of our country,” she said.
“I enjoyed seeing the cocoa production process and meeting the staff working hard behind the scenes in production and sales.”
Miss Polosovai also shared her excitement about using this experience to promote KOSI while participating in next year’s Pacific Islands Pageant.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to use my platform to promote KOSI and highlight local businesses like it. I’ll be using social media to bring attention to KOSI’s wonderful work, and I look forward to collaborating more with them,” she added.
KOSI presented Miss Polosovai with iconic products, marking the start of a partnership between Miss Solomon Islands and KOSI to increase local business visibility in the Solomon Islands.
