MISS Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai, is hosting a fundraiser at OUSA Clubs and Socs Dunedin, New Zealand, to raise awareness and support for breast cancer treatment in the Solomon Islands.
The fundraiser event featuring a baked goods auction to support breast cancer awareness and treatment in the Solomon Islands will be held this Saturday, October 26th.
Speaking on social media, Elsie Polosovai said this will be the first big event that will be held by her in New Zealand, which she is very excited about.
“This will be my first big event that will be held in New Zealand, and I am very excited,” she noted on social media.
She said during the event that Dr. Rachel Dyer-Bare, also from the Solomon Islands, will be the guest speaker, sharing her insights on early detection and the unique challenges Pacific women face.
She also said that there will also be a Zoom meeting for an information session, which is part of the fundraiser.
She said that all proceeds raised from this fundraiser will go towards supporting initiatives and awareness programs for breast cancer in the Solomon Islands.
Miss Solomon Islands acknowledges the support she had so far, which luckily managed to secure collaborations with a few small businesses around New Zealand.
